On 16th September 2021 the premier of Victoria announced that support from the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments will continue to flow to small and medium businesses most affected by the extension of public health restrictions in Melbourne and Victoria to end of September 2021.
 
The new round of support includes:           
 
Business Cost Assistance Program (Round 4) (Extended to regional Victoria)
 
A further weekly payment for the two weeks ending 23rd September 2021 and 30th September 2021 will be automatically paid out to businesses that were already registered to the program. 
Businesses in regional Victoria that are included in the List of eligible ANZIC classes will receive full payment for the two weeks from ending 30th September 2021.
 
The payment rates are:
 
Annual payroll below $650,000                                           = $2,800;
Annual payroll between $650,000 to $3 million                  = $5,600;
Annual payroll above $3 million                                          = $8,400;
 
 
Licenced Hospitality Venue Fund
 
An automatic $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 per week (subject to different patron capacity) will continue be paid automatically to venues in Victoria (no longer only metropolitan Melbourne) that have previously received grants under the fund for the two weeks ending 23rd September and 30th September 2021.
 
 
 
COVID-19 Disaster Payments
 
The commonwealth COVID-19 Disaster Payment arrangements for Melbourne workers and eligible sole traders remains to 23rd September 2021 but is likely to be extended. 
 
Eligible workers and sole traders in all local government areas of Victoria who have lost work will be able to access this payment to 23rd September 2021.
 
The payment is set at $450 for people who have lost from eight to 20 hours work or a full day of work (over seven days), and $750 for 20 hours or more of work lost.
