On Saturday 4th September 2021 the premier of Victoria announced that a new round of support from the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments will flow to small and medium businesses most affected by the extension of public health restrictions in Melbourne and Victoria up to the 23rd September 2021.
The new round of support includes:           
Increase in Small Business COVID Hardship Fund
The one off grant from this fund will now increase from $14,000 to $20,000 in recognition of the impact of the lockdown extension.
Businesses that have already received $14,000 will receive an automatic top-up payment of $6,000.
Applications for the grant close on 10th September 2021, unless extended otherwise by the Government.

Business Cost Assistance Program (Round 4)
A further weekly payment will be automatically paid out to businesses that were already registered to the program:
Annual payroll below $650,000                                        = $2,800;
Annual payroll between $650,000 to $3 million               = $5,600;
Annual payroll above $3 million                                       = $8,400;
Licenced Hospitality Venue Fund
An automatic $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 per week (subject to different patron capacity) will be automatically paid out to venues in metropolitan Melbourne that have previously received grants under the fund.
COVID-19 Disaster Payments
The commonwealth COVID-19 Disaster Payment arrangements for Melbourne workers and eligible sole traders have been extended to the 23rd September 2021 in line with the new restrictions . 
Eligible workers and sole traders in all local government areas of Victoria who have lost work will be able to access this payment to the 23rd September 2021.
The payment is set at $450 for people who have lost from eight to 20 hours work or a full day of work (over seven days), and $750 for 20 hours or more of work lost.
